Murphys Pigs

A big band with a big sound, Murphy’s Pigs are infectiously entertaining and masters of organised chaos on stage. An award winning, Celtic ensemble renowned for their passion, energy and irreverence, this unique band lives and breathes Celtic rock and traditional folk, playing songs and tunes from all points around the Celtic Sea. In a magical instant, Murphy’s Pigs drag you headfirst into their world of rugged mountains, stormy oceans,  fearsome battles, unrequited love and (of course) a drop or two of the whiskey.

The band has performed at international and national music  festivals  including  Festival Interceltique (the world’s largest Celtic festival, held in France), Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Australian Celtic Festival and many local festivals, cultural events and corporate functions. Murphy’s Pigs have performed live on French and Australian radio receiving regular airplay on  Brisbane's 98.9FM, 4EB and 4ZZZ, and several community radio stations along Australia's east coast.  In 2013 Murphy’s Pigs won Artist of the Year at the Australian Celtic Music Awards and were  finalists in the Best Song and Best Album categories.

2015 Murphy's Pigs won Album of the Year for "In the Lap of the Hogs" and Best Male Vocalist at the Australian Celtic Music awards.

Waz E James

Waz e James is a Melbourne based country rock singer songwritter that writes from the gut, with an almost brutal honesty, which is then delivered with this unique raw voice, much in the spirit of a Tom Waits or Bob Dylan. He follows no influences. He walks in nobody's shadow. Waz brings something new to the table, snapshots of real life, love and lost love, the long road, mates, lovers and family... from his pen to us. I believe in his music and feel that we could use a little more uniqueness in today's music." John Beland

Since meeting in Tamworth in 2013, Domenico has worked with the Waz E James band on a number of occasions at different venues in Melbourne and North Queensland including The Claypots (St Kilda & South Melbourne) and Yungaburra (Tablelands North Queensland).
